We're organising a bus straight from the ceremony to the reception, roughly 40 minutes by road. If you're on it you don't need to think about trains or taxis. Pick-up point and time to follow.

Central Lisbon, in the leafy neighbourhood just above Bairro Alto. If you've booked somewhere in the walk-home zone on the map, you can walk home.

Last metro
The Lisbon metro stops at 1am sharp — last trains leave the ends of the lines then, so aim to be on one by about 00:40. After that it's Bolt, Uber or FreeNow, €5–10 for anything central.
Sintra to Lisbon
Getting between the two
Train from Rossio
Trains to Sintra leave from Rossio station in the centre of Lisbon, roughly every 20 minutes, taking about 40 minutes. It's the reliable option — Sintra taxis get scarce at peak times.
A coach is being organised
We're planning a bus from the ceremony straight to the reception, about 40 minutes by road, so you shouldn't need to sort out the return leg yourself. Details to follow.
Driving is a false economy
It's around 35 minutes by car from central Lisbon, but Sintra parking is famously miserable and the roads up to the palaces are narrow and busy. Take the train.
